The WUG Australian Team is organised and run biannually by Australian University Sport, as part of the International University Sports Federation (FISU).

Australian Biathlon makes recommendations for biathlete membership of that team.

To attend WUG 2017, you need to be enrolled at a University recognised by Australian University Sport, by the end of September 2016, or be a recent graduate as at 29 January 2017.

Due to the timelines involved, current Year 12 students will only be eligible for University Games 2019 and later.
