UPDATE 30 JULY – Today’s Sprint event is highly likely to be swapped with yesterday’s Individual (distance) event. See news article 30 July for more info

The Australian Biathlon Championships are the second of two Selection Weekends for Australian Biathlon.

Today’s event is a HIGHLY LIKELY INDIVIDUAL Sprint event.

Cost for participants $35/$25. A late fee applies for registrations made after Sunday 27 July. All bookings close at 5pm on Friday 1 August.

Spectators free!

Daily Program – to be confirmed closer to the time:

Bib collection – 8:00-8:30 am
Competitor briefing – 8:40 am Whiskey Flat Shelter
Zeroing – 8:50 am to 9:40 am
Race start – 9:50 am*
Medal presentation – 12:30 pm Whiskey Flat Shelter

Depending on numbers, we expect two race starts today and tomorrow, in which case the following groups and start times will apply: 9:50 am – age classes where athletes are permitted to carry rifles
10:50 am – other classes, including Sports and laser classes

We need volunteers to run these events. All participants should attend PERSONALLY for bib collection and competitor briefing. We rely on the parents of Youth athletes to volunteer for both the 9:50 am and 10:50 am races.
