Deakin University invites you to attend the
2019 David Parkin Oration for Sport and Social Change.

The annual Oration honours the significant contribution of Dr David Parkin OAM to Australian society in leadership, sport and education. It promotes the advancement of public knowledge by exploring the challenges and opportunities for sport to act as a driver of social change.

This year’s Oration First among equals will be delivered by Cadel Evans AM in conversation with renowned sports broadcaster and writer Gerard Whateley.

A four time Olympian, Mr Evans is the first and only Australian to win the Tour de France and the UCI Road World Championships and top the UCI ProTour ranking.
